Karting 2016
Start: | End:
Clay Pigeon Karting Club
The race has been held annually for a number of years by Yeovil Lions with all profits going to charity, it's a fun day out for all the teams and their families. Thirteen teams of six people, mixed gender entered a three hour endurance grand prix race at Clay Pigeon International Raceway, on Sunday 1st May 2016. The race has a set number of pit stops and refuelling stops for every team in order to make the event equal for all teams. There was an hour of practise for team members to get to know the vehicle and race track before the mass start at eleven o'clock. All the karts are tracked and the teams positions are displayed on large TV screen for the competitors and spectators to follow progress. The race is lost or won based on the driver skill, competitiveness and speed of driver changes. A great days fun was had by all.
