Lions & Fund Raising

Air raid sirens and sounds of Lancaster bombers greeted guests at this years Untamed Lions Ball held at Haynes Motor Museum. In line with the 6th June the evening was themed around D-Day and guests were served a wartime menu  which included Patriotic Pork and Jam Roly Poly. The D-Day Darlings provided the entertainment with White Cliffs of Dover and We'll Meet Again in between the disco generously supplied by Pete Lambden. Auction Prizes donated by individuals and local companies contributed to a significant total raised on the night of £12k, which we are giving to the Yeovil Hospital CT scanner appeal. Pictured below is James Kirton from the CT scanner appeal receiving a cheque for £12,000 from members of the Yeovil Lions ball organising committee.
